ContextWeb Gives Back
Over the past two weeks, teams of ContextWeb employees have worked at the Yorkville Common Pantry and Career Gear here in New York City in an effort to support local, year-round philanthropic efforts.
At the Yorkville Common Pantry (YCP), ContextWeb employees sorted through deliveries and helped prepare for food distributions within the community to those in need.
According to the non-profit organization’s website:
“Yorkville Common Pantry (YCP) is dedicated to reducing hunger and promoting dignity and self-sufficiency. Our services are provided in the Upper East Side and East Harlem to our neighbors in and around these communities.”
Other teams of ContextWeb employees visited Career Gear headquarters at 120 Broadway.
With minimal but energetic staff, Career Gear provides an amazing service which enables disadvantaged men to receive complete wardrobes and interview counseling as they prepare to re-enter the workforce.
Follow-up services at Career Gear help provide support to the men and ensure success both at the job and at home.
After busy days of sorting through clothing donations, ContextWeb employees came to appreciate the impact of philanthropic organizations such as Career Gear as well as understand the opportunity each employee has to help the community around them.
