ADSDAQ Ad Exchange on PodTech

Pod TechThe first installment of a two-part video interview conducted by John Ince of PodTech with Jay Sears, SVP of Strategic Products and Business Development at ContextWeb, appeared yesterday and covered ContextWeb’s ADSDAQ contextual, online ad exchange.

In the video interview, Jay highlights ADSDAQ’s key differentiators among other ad exchanges such as Yahoo!’s Right Media, Google’s Doubleclick ad exchange and Microsoft’s AdECN:

  • Premium inventory - ADSDAQ is the first stop for any publisher’s inventory. If ADSDAQ cannot pay the publisher’s requested AskPrice CPM, it will send the request to any ad network the publisher designates.
  • Pricing control both for advertisers and publishers - Historically, advertisers have been able to set the price they want to pay but the publisher has been beholding to whatever an ad network wants to pay the publisher. With ADSDAQ’s AskPrice, the publisher has the control.
  • Open access to publishers large and small - Any publisher can apply to be a part of the exchange. ADSDAQ is not limited to just “the big guys.”

Given the momentum of online advertising and announcements like yesterday’s from Randy Falco of AOL regarding AOL becoming “the largest and most sophisticated global advertising network,” the ADSDAQ exchange appears well-positioned to provide advertisers and publishers an efficient tool for managing their online advertising into the future.
